As a reletively new forum member, I just thought it’s worth sharing my long term experience with the Aqara smart blind motor having used them for over 3 years. I bit the bullet and bought 5 and they’ve honestly been amazing. Super easy to install initially and they’ve remained in place perfectly since. They just work. I use them every single day and they’ve never let me down.
The HomeKit support has been great and they work with Home Assistant via the Matter integration too, so we can control them from our phones and I’ve tie them into automations (opening in the morning & closing at sunset).
Battery life has been way better than I expected as well, even years later they still last months between charges.
If anyone’s thinking about getting them, I’d definitely recommend it, they’re a simple way to make regular blinds smart.
Like my other Aqara smart home products, the wife actually loves them as well, which is perhaps the highest praise
