As per title. I have a number of single, double, and triple rocker E1 Aqara switches (both neutral and none neutral), all of which exhibit this issue. When the mode is controlling the relay, they behave fine, but when decoupled there is a very noticeable lag of a second and a half ish before the action is executed.
I have a lot of two or three way switching situations, so this lag is incredibly annoying. It’s not the case that the lag is persistent simply because those switches (which are in decoupled mode) are controlling other devices, because I have a number of wireless E1 switches also (which are by default in a sort of decoupled mode, because that is the only mode they can be in due to being wireless) and their actions are instantaneous.
Why are actions executed via the wireless switches instant, whilst actions executed via the wired switches (on decoupled mode) have massive delays/latency?
@tendons_peach_63 You seem to be experiencing an issue with the noticeable lag when using Aqara E1 wired switches in decoupled mode. You can contact customer support for assistance. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Home > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
The M100 & M200 are slow reacting to switching lights / relates etc. add a decoupled switch in multi mode and it indeed can be very off-putting in reaction times.
Adding additional information in order to answer @David… I’m using an slzb-06 ZigBee coordinator with zigbee2mqtt and HomeAssistant.
I’ve come across this issue on numerous GitHub pages also, e.g.:
It seems rather bonkers that a wireless switch has instant interactions, but wired switches have very noticeable delays… seeing as this is an issue that has been ongoing for years, without Aqara releasing any firmware updates to fix, I don’t imagine they ever will do anything about it unfortunately…
