Aqara FP2 detection gone sluggish after reset

Hi guys i’ve been using my fp2 sensor in my living room since 2023 with good results but today i decided move my sensor to the opposite end of the room. So i deleted the fp2 sensor in my Aqara app and reset it up but now the detection has gone slow and sluggish. When i walk into the room it takes at least 5 seconds to show my presence in the app and then if i walk from one end of my room to the other the presence icon in the app stays put until about 5 seconds then just teleports to where i’m standing, AI person detection is off.

Perhaps the sensor needs time to self-learn. It is now reanalyzing the situation in a new way.

    • Make sure your home network is in good condition. You can try restarting the router or using a hotspot connection to rule out network issues. 1
  1. Verify Detection Area Configuration: After setting the detection area, avoid arbitrarily moving the device’s installation location or angle, as this can lead to inaccurate positioning. If the installation location has changed, reconfigure the area according to the instructions. 2
  2. Check for False Alarms:
  • Adjust the detection sensitivity to low in the settings of the Human Presence Sensor FP2.
  • Check whether the installation position of the Human Presence Sensor FP2 is too low or too high, and try adjusting the device’s position.
  • After confirming that there are no moving objects in the detection area, leave the area. If the interface still shows a small person icon, you can perform spatial intelligent learning. Do not enter the detection area within 30 seconds during spatial intelligent learning. This can enable the sensor to perform spatial state self-learning and improve spatial recognition accuracy.
