I have the Aqara FP2 in rooms of approximately 3x4m, is there any way to scale up its accuracy? I think I waste a lot of its capacity, and I have few very large cells, they have little definition of the location and people
@oriol To enhance the accuracy of your Aqara FP2 in a 3x4m room and refine zone definition, you can focus on optimizing zone configuration and environmental settings. Here are practical steps based on community insights:
- Edges Configuration: Define the maximum detection area and mark other regions as “edges” to limit the sensor’s focus to your actual room space, reducing vague large cells.
- Entrances/Exits Setup: Properly setting entrances and exits helps the sensor accurately recognize when people enter or leave, improving location precision.
- Space Intelligent Learning: Run “Space Intelligent Learning” when the room is unoccupied. This helps the sensor adapt to your specific environment, reducing background interference.
- Sensitivity Adjustment: Since your room is small, adjust “Presence Monitoring Sensitivity” to a higher level (if there are few moving interferences like fans/curtains) to better detect subtle movements and maintain accurate “presence” status.
- AI Person Detection: Enable this feature to minimize false triggers from non-human movements (e.g., pets, robot vacuums), ensuring the sensor focuses on people.
This information comes from community discussions and user experience summaries and may vary by environment. Please verify carefully.

Hello @oriol
At what altitude and location is your Fp2 sensor installed? Please attach screenshots of the installation location and your map in the sensor plugin.
