Aqara FP300 - Absence timer keeps resetting to 10secs?

I just got two of these. Both of them when setting absence timer to 1min, reset back to 10secs after about 30 secs.

I have it paired via thread ( not interested in zigbee as I have a solid thread network) in HomeKit.

Any ideas how to make it stick?

Do you press the button on them to “wake” them? They may refuse to change settings unless you wake them before changing the setting

Yes, just tried that and still won’t stay.
