Then it’s dead :skull_and_crossbones: can you check if you have still warranty?

No time on warranty… New device purchased for our other house… but moved and did not install in time in new house. It worked when I did install but went offline and now it’s a fancy brick with ears.

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Don’t rush to conclusions, carefully check the power cord and power supply.
Is there any indication, is there any light on?

Thanks for your reply. Tried different USB power cords and different power sources (wall outlets). No lights. When I installed yesterday it went well. After exploring menus on iPhone it went offline. Then later it went dead. I uninstalled today and rebooted DECO router. Then tried installing G3 again… no response.

Oh that stinks! Dead after just a day? Where did you have it installed? Did you have a power outage or brownout of some sort that could have fried the camera electronics? It might not help you recover this camera, but knowing this may prevent issues with future products.

I’m not sure, but give it a timeout, maybe the G3 has a power protection that “self-resets” for 24 hours.

Hi, @Aqara_PM_Donie, can you recommend something on how to act in this situation?

No outages… Installed in bedroom to track my sleep patterns with new CPAP. Signal strength to router to Aqara M2 hub was at 87%.It was plugged into an Anker 321 Strip.

I unplugged device and will see if the resolves issue. Will reconnect tomorrow. Thanks

Another question, does the camera’s “head” spin when you apply voltage?

No response now, but when I did setup it made a revolution or panned 360 degrees.

I can spin the head manually.

There is no such protection.

I’m talking about rotation when the camera receives initial power. If you turn on the camera and after a while it rotates its head in the right direction, then the camera is alive.

No power

Could plugging into Anker 321 Strip caused an issue? And the other issue was when it ws working what would cause it to go offline? Could that be related?

Original set up was done with 2.4 MHz and 5 MHz options checked. I read online that I should turn 5 MHz turned off. Is that correct? I’m thinking about another Aqara but don’t want this to happen again.

Another recommendation from me, did you take the original power supply and cord? Did you try connecting (recovering) it?
