Randomly my Dorrbell creates an alarm-like noise after the ring. I did not set an alarm up so I’m just confused why this is happening. It doesn’t happen every time but sometimes. The noise can only be stopped by restarting the Doorbell.
Is there a way to configure that differently?
Thanks
Hello @strey Is your end cap fixed on a flat surface? If the surface is not flat and if you slightly overtighten the screws in the mounting plate, the end cap may not be fully pressed and this may cause a false alarm of the anti-vandal alarm, try slightly loosening the clamping screws.
Thanks, I’ll check on that. My wall is not fully flat, maybe I can tighten the screws.
Please provide me a video of the problem phenomenon. Is the doorbell G4 or G410? How long have you been using it? Did it exist from the beginning or suddenly appear midway?
This is new. I’m using the G4 since more than a year. It looks like the mounting wasn’t tight enough. I changed it, so I’m going to monitor. If it happens again I’ll attach a video.
Thanks
This happend when I installed the doorbell. Just sharing to show how it sounds. After I changed the way it is mounted I’m still monitoring if this will happen any more.
I am having the exact same problem on 3 * G4 doorbells. I thought the first was faulty 2 years old) and bought another new one, which has started doing exactly the same. Also the one I installed for my elderly mother has now started making the same noise.
I have raised with Aqara support but haven’t had a response.
I can only think it is a firmware issue
I still see this behavior from time to time, so I agree it might be a FW issue.
Guys, my colleague has confirmed that this is due to a recent firmware upgrade of Amazon echoshow causing audio format incompatibility. May I ask if your doorbells were all connected to Amazon Echoshow speakers when these noises occurred? Has the speaker recently been updated with firmware?
I can confirm, my Aqara is connected to an Echoshow. I think it got an update but the issue started earlier than the recent update.
Is there a workaround like exclude the Echoshow from the doorbell ring?
We are fixing this issue by ourselves, we will upgrade a firmware to adapt to echoshow, just wait a while.
2 of my G4s are connected to an Echo Show 15 and one to Echo Show 5s.
Guys, Amazon Alexa has fixed the audio issue, you can test your camera to see if the problem still here.
