Aqara G410 Dorbell

I have a question about the G410 Smart Doorbell: what is the maximum distance from the device that must be connected to the mains? My second question is how long do the batteries in the device last?

@mickaello The Aqara Smart Doorbell G410 has a few important details regarding its connection and battery life. For the distance aspect, if you’re considering the distance between the doorbell and any repeater or chime, it’s important to maintain a connection range that does not exceed 10 meters. Factors such as physical obstructions or wireless interference should be minimized to ensure optimal communication quality.

Regarding battery life, the G410 can be powered by six LR6 AA alkaline batteries, providing up to 5 months of stable battery life, thanks to its radar detection technology. Keep in mind that external factors like usage frequency and environmental conditions can influence the actual battery life.

If you have more questions or insights about your setup, feel free to share them with the community for further discussion!

I am currently using the Aqara Doorbell G410 and experiencing same connectivity issues due to the large distance between the doorbell camera and the chime hub, which is located one floor above. As a result, the connection is unstable.

Unfortunately, I have very limited placement alternatives, as I rely on a loud chime due to hearing impairment. For this reason, relocating the chime closer to the doorbell is not a practical option for me.

In addition, I am using an Amazon Echo Show 8 for live video streaming from the doorbell. During streaming, the Echo Show frequently freezes or crashes. I suspect that these issues may be related to the weak or unstable connection between the doorbell camera and the chime hub, and that improving this connection could potentially resolve the crashes.

My current idea is to add an Aqara Hub M1S Gen 2 and use it as a Zigbee signal extender to improve overall connectivity. I would like to ask whether this is the recommended or only supported solution, or if there are other Aqara-approved options to improve signal stability and streaming reliability in this scenario.

Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
