Are there any audio adjustments available with the G5 pro? The sound is extremely tinny, high pitched and I cannot find any adjustments such as • Audio
• Noise Reduction
• Echo Cancellation
• Mic Sensitivity
• Speaker volume
• Hub Settings
You can adjust the camera volume under Device Settings → Camera Settings. You can upload MP3 files to play under Custom Audio. I haven’t found any other options so far.
Where exactly are you having problems? In the Aqara Home app when playing recordings, when using the voice function, when using RTSP or ONVIF?
The issue is with live view within the aqara app…it is extremely high pitched almost squealing noises to the point where I have to turn the volume down to tolerate it. Because of this it is very difficult to hear dialogue etc while viewing the feed. I believe I read that certain controls were available or are available in different countries but I’m not 100%. It would make sense to be able to adjust some of the settings I mentioned in the original post but it appears I cannot. Thank you for your time
Does the whistling noise only occur when you are using Live View and in the same room as the camera? Does it also occur when you are in a different room with the doors closed?
So it happens whenever I use live view from where ever I am. The feedback you get when you’re in the same room and the camera is very different from this issue. It is across all cameras in my house. I have 5 E1’s and 8 G5’s which recently replaced a 15 camera Logitech system so it’s possible this is just the way it sounds on the aqara platform which is fine I was just looking for audio controls to help with this
That’s interesting because I have a G5 Pro (Wi-Fi version) and I don’t experience this noise, so it might not be a general platform issue. Since you mentioned having both G5s and E1s (which are Wi-Fi only), I assume you might have a mixed setup or fully Wi-Fi setup.
To help narrow this down:
- Does the whistling/static noise ONLY happen in Live View, or is it also present in the recorded footage (internal storage / SD card / Cloud clips / NAS)?
- How are your cameras connected? Are the G5s on PoE and E1s on Wi-Fi, or is everything on Wi-Fi?
- Do you hear this noise on all devices (e.g., iPhone, iPad, Android)? Or is it specific to one device/phone?
- Are you watching the feed via the Aqara App, or are you using Apple HomeKit (HKSV)? Sometimes HomeKit handles audio codecs differently.
- Are all cameras on the latest firmware?
