I have huge Problems with the G5 Pro in that it doesn’t recognise most my sensors.

Currently I am using a M100 as a workaround but that shouldn’t be the solution.

I know technically not a feature request.

It is quite simple decision. If you have POE switch (with UPS backup) and can get ethernet cable to the place where you wath place the camera buy POE version. If you plan to use the camera as safety / alarm tool you will need to use UPS power backup anyhow. In my opinion POE version (which I purchsed) is the right choice.

I also encountered this problem by chance. I need to try adding multiple times or power off and restart the camera to complete the recognition and addition of child devices. The network environment in my office is complex, but I believe that the probability of binding them at home will be better. If you don’t have many devices at home but still have this problem, please provide your Aqara home account and feedback to the official customer service for assistance.

What I would really find useful would be a zoom/crop function! The field-of-view of the lens may not work for everyone or simply record a lot of wall, bushes etc.
Desired functionality:

  • Zoom/crop function in Video setttings
  • Cropped Picture is send to homekit (make better use of that 1080p limitation!)
  • Within the Aqara app, you could zoom-out again if needed.
    Anyone else wants this too?

The first requirement for the camera would be to have a battery. The solar panel could be external.

@Aqara_PM_Donie when considering a battery powered camera, consider removable batteries like the Arlo rather than fixed batteries.

I would also appreciate timeline feature for that. Any camera I picked in past never had timeline feature. :smiley:

Anyone has experience with NAS in context of G5 Pro? Is it working properly? Can You use detections during the recordings? I understand that You can watch recordings inside Aqara app, am I right?
