I’ve been using some Aqara H2 EU switches for a while, a few points of feedback, hopefully the Aqara team listens here. ![]()
A.) Software: ability to turn the bottom button into “switch off” — many regular switches have the upper press turning the switch ON, while the lower press turns the switch OFF. I’d wish to see Aqara implement an easy setting for being able to turn off the switch by just pressing the bottom (smart) button. While it’s possible to configure an automation to act as a “turn off” button, it’s too cumbersome to do so for many switches, plus introduces a delay, as the switch needs to communicate with the hub.
B.) Hardware: Better, silent relay — while the H2 EU dimmer switch has a silent relay operation, the single and dual switches are relatively loud, using a cheaper/older relay switch. I’d like to see this improved, so when a scene turns on/off a couple of lamps, there are no “clicking sounds” all around the house.
C.) Hardware: Different plastic material — the current H2 switches are fingerprint and dirt magnets to a degree, requiring much more frequent cleaning than other switches that utilize a different kind of plastic top layer. This would be an easy improvement and would improve the overall product experience.
