Aqara home app (ios) + m200 hub + ikea grillplats or bilresa or myggspray - the dame issue

Hey! Has anyone been able to connect the new IKEA Matter plug to the Aqara M200 hub using the Aqara Home app (iOS)? Every time I try, I get a message saying that a ‘Thread Border Router’ is required. Alos i get the same message for billresa switch and myggspray sensor.

The M200 is a Thread Border Router so it’s a strange message. Do you see the M200 in your “Accessories” tab? Because the M200 has to be paired first with your app and the M200 region has to match your app region

Yes, i see M200 in accessories tab. Also, i connected few devices to hub without issues dg. Ikea door/window sensor

That sounds like the iOS notification.

Apple recommends restarting the hub and the smartphone.

Is your iPhone connected to Wi-Fi and able to connect to the hub?
Have you disabled VPN and other similar services?

To add what @JohnD said: what’s the model of your iPhone? Some iPhones don’t support Matter/Thread pairing

It’s the lates ip 17. What’s more interesting, I was able to add this plug to ikea home smart app without issues. I’m connected to the wi-fi and able to connect to hub(it’s online)

Interesting, for my knowledge it should work. Do you use HomeKit integration (Profile > Connect to other ecosystems), is the M200 visible in Apple Home > three dots > Home Settings > Hubs and Bridges?

Yes, it’s very strange. No i don’t use homekit integration, just Aqara ecosytem

The window that pops add when you add a Matter/Thread device is an iOS window, so maybe that’s the problem of how iOS/Aqara handles this? You could try using the HomeKit integration to check if it changes anything

Thanks all for the support. Finally i decided to reset M200 Hub to factory settings, removed all matter devices registered on my phone(matter accesories under general settings in ios) and start from the scratch again. It works  I’ve added all new IKEA matter devices to my aqara home network. Not sure what exactly was the reason of my issue, but probalby some kind of network config. Also i started new setup from IKEA grillplats plugs and then billresa and then aqara devices.
