What could be causing the preview app not to open when I click on the notification that the G410 detected someone before the call?
This is happening on the Xiaomi 12.
all notifications on phone are on.
any ideas ?

@czakgames It’s frustrating when the preview app doesn’t open as expected—let’s try to figure this out! While the reference info doesn’t directly address the preview app not opening, we can consider potential background restrictions that might affect app behavior. For Android devices like your Xiaomi 12, even if notifications are enabled, system background process management or battery optimization could interfere with the app launching.
You might want to check the app settings for Aqara Home: Go to App Management → Authorization Management → Auto-start and ensure it’s enabled. Also, set the Power Saving Strategy to “No restrictions” (this helps prevent the system from closing the app in the background) .
If these steps don’t resolve it, feel free to share more details—maybe other community members have encountered similar issues. For further assistance, you can contact the Customer Service Team via the Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) or scanning the QR code:

It might be a permission issue on the phone side. On some Xiaomi devices, the system can block apps from opening automatically from a notification. Try going to the Aqara app settings on your phone, then check permissions and make sure “Display pop-up windows” and “Start in background” are both allowed.
Also make sure battery optimization is turned off for the Aqara app. MIUI can be quite aggressive about closing apps in the background, and that can stop the preview window from opening when someone is detected.
If it still doesn’t work, try reinstalling the app and re-enabling notifications after logging in. Sometimes a clean reinstall fixes the link between the detection alert and the preview launch.
If none of that helps, I’d suggest contacting Aqara support at support@aqara.com
. They can check the logs for your device and see what’s going wrong with the preview trigger.
