Hi all,
I own an Aqara Hub M3 and would like to know whether it supports Matter multi-admin, meaning sharing the hub with a second controller, specifically Google Home (“Joint Fabric”).
What I’ve found so far: the M3 adds to Apple Home via Matter as a bridge, and the Aqara app lists Apple Home among its connected platforms. For Google Home and Alexa, the sources I read describe the legacy (cloud-based) integration methods, without mentioning Matter.
My questions:
• Can the M3 be shared with Google Home via Matter (multi-admin / Joint Fabric)?
• If so, should I pair it with Aqara first or go straight to Google?
• Do Aqara Zigbee devices exposed over Matter remain controllable from both platforms?
Thanks in advance. If anyone has already tested this, I’d be especially interested in your experience.

@ludovic_boue Great questions about Matter multi-admin on the Hub M3! Let me break this down based on what we know.
Yes, the M3 supports sharing with Google Home via Matter. The Hub M3 functions as a Matter Bridge, which means Zigbee child devices connected to it can be exposed to any Matter-compatible ecosystem—including Google Home, not just Apple Home. This is separate from the legacy cloud-to-cloud integration you may have seen mentioned for Alexa and Google Home.
For setup order: You’ll want to pair the M3 with Aqara Home first, then expose it to additional platforms via Matter. In the Aqara Home app, go to Settings → Device page → Expose to Matter to get the Matter QR code, which you can then scan in Google Home during the “Add Matter device” flow. The M3 doesn’t need to be “factory fresh” for Google—once it’s commissioned in Aqara, you share it out.
On multi-admin / Joint Fabric: Once bridged, your Aqara Zigbee devices should remain controllable from both Aqara Home and Google Home simultaneously. That’s the core promise of Matter multi-admin. However, I’d flag that practical behavior can vary by device type and firmware version—some users report occasional sync delays with certain bridged accessories across ecosystems.
Since the Aqara Home app only supports its own Matter controller hubs (like the M3) rather than third-party controllers like Nest Hub as the primary pairing point, starting with Aqara and sharing outward is definitely the right path.
This information comes from community discussions and user experience summaries and may vary by environment. Please verify carefully.
Has anyone here actually run the M3 in a multi-admin setup with Google Home? Would love to hear real-world stability experiences—especially with things like automation triggers firing across both platforms.
