Hey all, quick question before I start tearing my setup apart. Woke up this morning and noticed my Aqara Hub’s LED is blinking red (slow pulsing, not flashing fast). It was fine last night, and I haven’t changed anything on the network or the app.
Everything connected to the hub is basically offline now — motion sensors, door sensors, the whole lot. Tried killing the power and plugging back in, no luck. WiFi is solid, other devices are working fine.
Anyone run into this? What does the red blinking actually mean? I’ve seen yellow before during updates, but red’s got me paranoid now. Is it a corrupted firmware thing? Network dropout? Hub meltdown? Appreciate any help or tips before I do a full reset.
@SensorSavant It looks like your Aqara Hub’s red blinking light is indicating that the Zigbee network is not connected. This is consistent with the symptoms you’re experiencing, such as your motion sensors and door sensors being offline. To address this issue, here are a few steps you could try:
Check Power Supply: Ensure that your hub is properly connected to the power outlet and that the power supply is functioning correctly.
Reset the Hub: Consider resetting the hub by pressing the button for more than 10 seconds until the light starts flashing quickly. This may help re-establish the network connection.
Network Connection: Ensure that your hub is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as it does not support 5GHz. If you’re using a dual-band router, try turning off the 5GHz network temporarily.
Firmware and App Version: Make sure that both the firmware version of the hub and the Aqara Home app are updated to the latest versions.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you might want to consider creating a support ticket for further assistance. Don’t worry, these things happen, and we’re here to help each other out. Let us know how it goes, and feel free to ask more questions if needed!
Hi @SensorSavant , i started having the exact same issue this morning, can i check if you have managed to resolve it? If yes, what did you do? Thank you in advance!
