Has anyone else run into this? My Aqara leak sensors periodically send a disconnection notification at random times, then reconnect by themselves a little later.
My first thought was range, but that doesn’t seem to be it. One of the affected sensors sits right next to the hub. My guess is it happens when the sensor has been asleep for a while and the app interprets that as a dropout.
Functionality doesn’t seem to be affected. Right after getting a reconnection notice, I dropped one of the sensors in water and got the leak alert immediately.
This only happens in the Aqara app. I’m not seeing any false disconnects in HomeKit or Home Assistant, which use the same sensors.
Is there a setting to fix this, or is it just a known quirk of the Aqara app? Any suggestions appreciated.
