Aqara Light Switch H2 (us) - Can I disable relay (wireless mode) while using Thread?

I have the 2 button switch, one of which is a relay. I actually want both buttons to be smart, and not control any relays. I plan to have home assistant listen for the click events on either buttons and do some automations with that.

I know when using Zigbee mode, I can go into the app and disable the relay, but when I switch back to Thread it flashes the firmware and resets everything. Is there any way this can be done via bluetooth, or via some click pattern on the switch itself?

Hello @roeland_reyniers
Currently it is impossible to untie the alavish from the relay in thread mode, perhaps in the future when it will be possible to make settings in the matter system this will become possible. These are just my assumptions about the future.

I was afraid of this :frowning:

Even a way to control this setting from the switch (like changing min and max brightness) would be perfectly fine.

It sounds like nothing is on the roadmap at this point? I may need to look at other options if not.

I purchased the Aqara H2 switch just for the Decoupled Mode feature, but I can’t use it because I’m using it in Thread mode. Hopefully, Aqara will figure out how to enable this feature for Thread users. I’d even be happy if the Decoupled Mode had to be enabled manually on the light switch through an elaborate routine (e.g., hold the top button while tapping bottom button 4 times).
