Aqara Lock U50 vs U100

I am trying to understand the difference between the U50 and U100 locks. So far I only see that the U50 lacks the fingerprint reader. Otherwise it is same as the U100. Am I missing something?

Thanks! I was debating if I should go towards one or the other. Fingerprint doesn’t really matter for me as I am planning to setup auto lock/unlock automations using home assistant and person location entities. I guess U50 should work in that case

I would spend the extra to get the reader. My wife absolutely loves that thing and has praised me for getting rid of the level lock in its place. You won’t regret it.

I am replacing my Yale smart lock. That thing is a connectivity nightmare. Bluetooth connection has issues even with proxies around the house. And with WiFi, the battery drains like anything.

I’ve had a few hiccups but absolutely nothing like the issues I had with my Level. It just works, home key has been an issue for me but I think that’s an aqara/homekit issue that they need to figure out.

The price is the biggest thing for me, it’s I think $30 to add the print reader vs the U50, might as well at that price point.
