Yes, the M3 is an excellent Matter hub in my experience. Matter can use both primary and secondary hubs and this adds stability as well as redundancy. You are best to situate multiple hubs at some distance from each other so they can catch endpoints at the physical periphery of your network. I use the the Matter add-on to Home Assistant (on RPi 4B) for this purpose.

Hello, yes. Just to overlap the coverage area within the house (if necessary) you will have to reconnect the sensors to the M3 (which will be placed in another corner of the house).
