Has anyone experience with this driver? My shades have the chain with the small connector, it’s not continuous type. Will this make the chain slip when the joint travels though the gear?
@erpatr3 It’s great that you’re exploring options for your shades with the Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1! This device is designed to control the bead chain of your shades and transform them into smart ones. According to the installation instructions for the Roller Shade Driver E1, it is essential to ensure that the bead chain rotates in a stable manner without slipping. While the reference information doesn’t specifically mention chains with small connectors, it’s crucial to position the device correctly and test its operation.
If the chain joint causes slipping, you might need to make some adjustments or consider alternative solutions. I encourage you to share your experience or any tips you might have for handling chains with connectors. Your insights could be invaluable to others in the community exploring similar setups!
Hm, bot’s answer isn’t really helpful, but I suppose I also wasn’t clear enough. My chain isn’t continuous, and is connected with something like this. I guess it won’t be a problem as long as I want to change my shades between full-dark and half-open, but in the event of pulling them all up, this will always have to go through the gears.
Don’t you have the option to change the curtain rope?
My neighbor said it’s detachable. I tried to pull out the cover, but it didn’t come off. I either used not enough strength, or mine are glued. For obvious reasons, I didn’t try doing it by force just yet.
If you’re not sure, be careful not to change everything instead of just the rope. But it’s funny, it should be possible to change the whole thing.
