Aqara S100 Panel suggestions/issues

Hi there, I have 2 s100 panels and upgraded from the S1E panels

Here are my feedback/suggestions and also highlighting some issues that I’ve faced:

  1. Native Zigbee support (it should be working as this has been advertised by Aqara)
  2. Matter support… I’m appalled that despite it being an “upgrade” over the S1E, there’s no Matter support… come on Aqara… do better please
  3. Allow us to control and insert Matter devices into your cards so that we can use the full capability of this panel!!!
  4. Even some Aqara devices cannot be controlled
  5. Insert more themes, or at least allow the user to customize it themselves (6 is unacceptable compared to the older S1E)
  6. Very limited services (only clock and weather) perhaps more so that this panel becomes more useful?
  7. I also have the D200i, when I insert the card into this panel, it does nothing.
  8. The device will unmute itself randomly lol

Overall i feel that there’s a huge potential for it to be a great product… just quite wasted if the development and improvements stop here

Regarding your points:

  • Native Zigbee support: According to Aqara’s information, the S100 Panel Switch does support Zigbee protocol, which enables local control of Zigbee child devices connected to the same hub even when the internet is unavailable (e.g., controlling curtains, smart switches, or dimmable lights locally after hub configuration). However, this requires proper hub setup and ensuring both the S100 and hub are on the same LAN and updated to the latest version. If you’re experiencing issues with this, it might be worth checking the hub configuration steps again.
  • Matter support: Currently, the Aqara S100 Panel Switch does not support Matter.

For the other suggestions and issues you mentioned (such as controlling Matter devices, limited Aqara device control, theme customization, additional services, D200i card compatibility, and the random unmute issue), your ideas are well-noted.
