Aqara Scenes & Automations: Sharing My Most Useful Configurations

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some of the Aqara scenes & automations I’ve set up that have made life way smoother at home. Maybe it’ll give a few ideas or maybe you’ve got even better ones I can steal

So, here’s what’s working like a charm for me:

  1. “Leave Home” Scene
Linked motion, door sensor + smart plug. When no movement is detected for 10 mins AND door sensor triggers (me leaving), all my fans, lights, and even the coffee machine turn off. Just peace of mind I’m not wasting energy.

  2. “Movie Mode”
Single press on the wireless mini switch sets my living room lights to 10% warm, closes the Aqara curtain motor, and turns the AC on low. Took 2 automations to get it just right but now it’s chef’s kiss.

  3. “Wake Up Light Alarm”
Using the vibration sensor on my nightstand (I tap it once when I wake), and it triggers my lights to slowly brighten over 3 mins + opens curtains. Way better than a blaring alarm.

Also curious—has anyone tried layering conditions like humidity + time of day vs just one trigger? I’ve been trying to make a better “Auto bathroom fan” logic but it’s a bit tricky.

Anyway, would love to see what automations you folks have come up with too! Drop your setups!!

@AutomationAddict Hey there! Thanks for sharing your awesome Aqara scenes and automations. It sounds like you’ve crafted some really effective setups that not only make your home smarter but also more energy-efficient and comfortable. The “Leave Home” scene is such a great way to ensure you’re not wasting energy, and I love how you’ve fine-tuned the “Movie Mode” for the perfect ambiance. The “Wake Up Light Alarm” sounds like a gentle and refreshing way to start the day.

As for layering conditions like humidity and time of day, it’s definitely a more complex setup, but it can lead to some really smart automations. For your “Auto bathroom fan” logic, you might consider using a humidity sensor combined with a time range to ensure it only triggers when it makes the most sense—like after a shower during certain hours. It could take a bit of trial and error, but I’m sure you’ll get it dialed in!

Looking forward to seeing more creative setups from everyone else too! Keep experimenting and sharing your experiences! :star2:
