Alright, so I’ve been experimenting with Aqara scenes for the past couple of months, and honestly, they’ve become my little life-changers. Sharing a few that completely flipped my day-to-day, in case someone’s looking for inspo or better ways to set theirs up.
Morning scene: lights fade in at 6:45 AM, blinds open slowly (using the curtain motor), bedroom temp is auto set via the thermostat, and my coffee machine kicks in (hooked via a smart plug). I don’t even use an alarm anymore — the gradual light and warm coffee do the magic.
Leaving home: Once I lock the main door (with the smart door lock, duh), the scene kills all lights, turns off unnecessary plugs, and activates the motion sensors + camera notifications. I set it to also drop the thermostat to eco mode.
Movie mode: One tap in the Aqara app dims lights (RGB bulbs), closes curtains, and kills overhead lighting. I’ve tied this with the Apple TV remote trigger so it can even go auto once the TV turns on after 7 PM.
Honestly, scenes took me from “cool smart gadgets” to “oh wow my house is actually working for me.” If anyone has epic scenes they rely on, would love to hear about it. Especially curious about any bedtime or workout ones people use.
