Just installed the Aqara Smart Lock U400 to Apple Home which was not as smooth as advertised even after exactly following the instructions. We were excited to finally get it working only to realize when we are indoors and in close proximity to the locks, it unlocks via our Apple Watch or iPhone. It’s also unlocking if the devices are tapped against the lock from indoors. This should not be happening, correct?
Is the door next to an interior wall where you walk by inside the house? If so, make sure you take a look at the direction of approach settings. I had a similar issue and explain this here: https://youtu.be/Fn3RGM09vwI?si=oohTaQq8q7eHoR8a&t=266

The issue with our problem was related to a loose connection. During the initial install, we were super cautious and did not apply enough force to make connection click into place.
I no longer have the original problem. However, the unlock on approach isn’t working.
Can you clarify - at first it was too sensitive unlocking from indoors, but now it doesn’t work at all?
