I’m looking to create an automation with my Aqara Smart Plug that would essentially use the IR blaster on my G3 when the plug is reading power consumption at specific times. However, the only conditions the app is showing for automation of the Smart Plug is whether it’s on or off. Am I missing something or is this not a feature Aqara has implemented. If not, this seems like a miss and easy to implement. Aqara team, please make this happen!
Hi. It works with Smart plugs EU (SP – EUC 01). Which version do you have, and what firmware is installed?
Hi, I also have this problem with old Aqara square type sockets (2020 release). If you have a new socket, I recommend switching to Zigbee mode, there are no restrictions in this mode.
That’s exactly the functionality I need! I’m in the US and I have the US version of the ‘Smart Plug’. It’s the only model offered here but it definitely can read watt draw.
It’s the larger squarish type plug.
Not sure which model is which. I bought this recently and it’s squarish. The only way to add it to the system is to bind it to a hub. It shows a Zigbee signal so I’m not sure if there’s a different way to control the unit. At least the device menus doesn’t show anything.
It’s the latest version of the plug here and it looks like it’s also Zigbee. Not sure why it would have the same automation capabilities as the EU standard. Everything on my end looks up to date as well. Hoping may one someone stateside could chime in about whether they have this feature set.
The image the other guy showed is exactly what I need to have proper automation of my space heater. Hoping I’m just missing something.
Before raising a question with Aqara specialists, you can provide a screenshot of the automations (conditions available to you) from the WHEN and IF sections.
Hi, @AqaraOfficial, can you help me solve this issue? Why doesn’t the official US outlet have a power control function (W) in automation? Can you give me an answer or redirect me to specialized specialists? Thank you.
