Hi, ive bought 27 aqara bulbs (lumi.light.agl005) to use in my smarthome with switches in detached mode. Unfortunately they dont work properly when grouped, on/off works just fine, but toggle is very slow and unreliable. Ive tried almost anything and nothing worked, including:
tried on both firmware versions 30 and 31
tried reflashing firmware to thread, then back to zigbee
tried removing and adding device back to zigbee network
tried removing and creating groups containing the bulb
everything was tried on newest z2m, ha versions available atm
Get yourself a very cheap m100 Aqara hub and pair the lights to this, you can then create a group in the Aqara app to switch the lights as a group.
You can even create a scene and share the scene out via matter.
Obviously you would connect the M100 to your home assistant via matter.
If you’re switch in decoupled mode are Aqara switches then I’d bring them over and create the basic switching within the Aqara app, once created these automation run even in a full offline mode .
Im gonna consider getting the hub although I would like to just have one (I’ve got zbt-2 already). Matter is not an option in my case, my (not Aqara) switches and all devices are zigbee based, I wanted to bind them directly to group containing lights. I have this setup in one room, but the lights are from different manufacturer and it works flawlessly so I think that this might be bulb firmware issue.
Yes fair enough, i understand, I was a user of Zigbee2MQTT and ultimatlely had issues which is why I settled on a single supplier Aqara and multiple room hubs to create a better redundancy.
