USA here and ready to test!
Their door bell just handled the deep freeze in Ontario so definitely
Like many others, I am really looking forward to moving past Nest thermostats. They never lived up to their promise. I really look forward to integrating a door switch so when the back slider is open in the spring or summer mornings the heat does not turn on! Should have been easy years ago but not that easy with Nest.
Why did the thermostat break up with Ecobee?
You’re always turning me on and off… ![]()
New user so I’m rushing to get forum points and would be stoked to try this out!
Can’t wait to try this out!
This is great. I am signing up. Does it work with central ducted heat pumps too?
Currently using a very buggy nest thermostat. Excited to see if this is more stable
Super excited and ready to test in Canada!
Looks nice and I can’t wait to try it!
It says that it is a hub. Would this be a device that could act as a Thread/Matter hub for some Aqara door locks I have? They connect via Thread to and Apple TV, but one of the locks often gets disconnected from the Apple TV.
I just upgraded to an ecobee setup, so I’m not sure this is going to work for me. I’d like to know more about this thing!
I cannot give up my humidity control in my Minnesota home. Does anyone know if the W200 will be able to control my humidifier?
I’m in. Perfect timing as Google just ended support for my gen 1 Nest
Anyone?
Need to modify my thermostat wiring photo I submitted on my form as I ran new wires to make sure compatible with the W200 trial. And got rid of 4 splices as well (crazy old house). See attached photo.
If there is a way to modify the form please let me know.
This will tie things all together with the U400, G410, G5 Pros (multiple), M200, multiple sensors and Apple Home via the Apple TV. So far all works flawlessly, the W200 will make this complete.
Attached is my current wiring setup. I recently upgraded to a new compressor and furnace, but my old Nest has been a major disappointment—it refuses to run ‘Fan Only’ reliably and its built-in ‘hourly air circulation’ logic is far too rigid and simplistic.
I’m looking to move everything to a more precise, local-first setup. My plan is to integrate the W200 with Home Assistant, using its onboard sensors to drive custom automation logic that actually responds to my home’s real-time needs. Really hoping to put the W200 through its paces in this specific environment!
Questions: 1) the product page mentions Apple Home. Will the W200 be compatible with the existing Aqara Android app? So for instance, if you’ve already got a bunch of Aqara sensors tied to an Aqara hub, will the W200 replace the hub, but still be controllable with the Android app?
- Does the W200 include a “dumb” fail-over mode, for instances where network connectivity goes out, or the W200’s firmware fails in some way that requires a reboot? I’m thinking specifically about going on vacation and something happens - ideally, I’d like to know that the W200 will continue to run schedule-based temp control like a dumb thermostat would, rather than shutting down completely.
Agreed, looks amazing!!
Ahhhhh nest, glad I got rid of mine s while ago.
Would love to try this out. Been looking for a thermostat to replace the Nest ones I have. In the US.
I would love to test this out. I’m also curious about the hub capabilities.
