I’ve been tracking the recent news about the Aqara Thermostat Hub W200, and I’m seriously tempted to pull the trigger. For those who haven’t seen it, it looks like a sleek hybrid between a smart thermostat and a functional hub, supporting Matter over Thread.
What’s really catching my eye is the detachable faceplate and the built-in sensor tech. It seems like Aqara is finally bridging the gap between “just a thermostat” and a central command center for the room.
I’m currently looking to upgrade my setup but realized I’m a few points short of participating in some of the deeper technical threads here! I’d love to hear from anyone who has integrated this into their ecosystem yet:
- Matter performance: How stable has the Thread connection been for you?
- Installation: Was the C-wire setup straightforward, or did you run into quirks?
- Automation: Are you using the built-in hub to trigger other Aqara sensors, or strictly using it as a thermostat?
