Aqara U100 Keypad Entry

I had to replace my batteries in my U100 lock today after 9 months (decent battery life) Upon doing so, however, the keypad and fingerprint sensor suddenly became sluggishly responsive. The app seems to work just fine still.
I attempted the calibration, but that seems to be only for the locking cylinder.

If I reset, do I have to re-enter all of the fingerprints and codes?

@432_38th_street Hey there! Thanks for reaching out about your U100.

To answer your question directly: Yes, a factory reset will clear all saved fingerprints, passwords, and user data. You would need to re-enroll everything afterward.

Before going the reset route, here are a couple of quick checks for the sluggish keypad/fingerprint sensor after battery replacement:

  • Ensure the new batteries are properly seated and making good contact
  • Try removing and reinserting the batteries once more to refresh the connection
  • Make sure you’re using high-quality alkaline batteries (avoid mixing old/new or different brands)

If you do need to reset the U100, keep in mind you’ll need either the admin password or fingerprint to complete the process. There’s also a convenient HomeKit code reset option if your lock is updated to version 3.0.0_0031 or later.

Since the app is still working fine, you might also try removing and re-adding the lock in the Aqara Home app as a softer troubleshooting step before a full factory reset.

Hope this helps get your lock back to snappy performance! Let us know how it goes. :closed_lock_with_key::sparkles:

I am using brand new Alkaline batteries
I have removed and reseated them twice to make sure it is correctly seated.
The keypad seemed to recover normal speed of function after sitting for a couple hours, but then has alternated back and forth to sluggish performance.
