I have the Aqara U100 lock. When I first installed it, I mounted it upside down and added it to the app that way. After correcting the physical installation, the lock still kept unlocking in the wrong direction, as if the door orientation was reversed. I tried running the calibration again, but it didn’t fix the issue. I eventually had to delete the lock from the app and set it up from scratch.
Is there a way to simply reverse the lock’s orientation in the app or settings without having to remove and reinstall the device completely?
@dany_lescarbeau It sounds like you’re dealing with a tricky situation! Based on the reference information available, there isn’t a direct mention of reversing lock orientation through the app settings without removing and reinstalling the device. Typically, recalibration should address directional issues, but if that’s not resolving the problem, it seems like reinstallation might be necessary. Sometimes, reinstalling can help the system reset and recognize the correct orientation.
I understand this isn’t the most convenient solution, and I apologize for any inconvenience. I recommend keeping an eye on the Aqara app for any updates or reaching out to the community for shared experiences. Additionally, if this persists, contacting the customer service team could provide further insights or updates on potential app features in development.
Feel free to share any further experiences or solutions you come across! Your insights could be invaluable to others facing similar challenges.
Hello, perhaps the first time you add the lock, it remembers the orientation. Usually, users do not change the location (orientation) of the lock after installation, but if they do this, it is very, very rare. After this procedure, recalibration is required, otherwise the lock may not work correctly.
Hello there, did you go through the “Door Lock Detection”? That’s the feature for deadbolt direction calibration. This installation method is interesting, and if the problem is still not solved, please contact us again, many thanks.
