Aqara U200. Door with one-key entry

Hi everyone. I wasn’t sure how to explain it in the title.

My front door is configured so that if I insert the key on one side, I can’t insert it on the other. Or rather, I can insert it, but it won’t turn if there’s another key in the opposite lock.

If I understand correctly, the Aqara U200 is installed with the key inserted, since the device “turns the door’s original key.” However, in my case, if the battery dies, it means I can’t get in from the outside because I can’t use the physical key on the other side.

Is this correct, or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Hi,
You need to replace your lock cylinder with one that has a clutch, which allows you to leave the key inside and use another one on the outside.

Hello @GND003
If you want to use a key/key cylinder, you need a cylinder with an anti-panic function, different manufacturers call it differently.
The second option is a key/rod or key/turn cylinder

Ok. Thank you too

That’s correct. You’'d need to swap the key cylinder in your door for one that allows a key to be inserted on both sides at the same time.
