Hi All,

Does u200 lite comes with option to unlock a door using android phone by NFC?

Cheers

Hello. Android does not support. Aqara NFC key.

Ok thanks

Btw the U200 Lite NFC is just a shortcut to the Aqara app. So you tap it with your iphone, get a notification to open the Aqara app, then you unlock the phone and it unlocks.

You might as well not use it and just put a shortcut to the Aqara app and a widget on the dashboard.

The U200 (the other one, not the Lite), on the other hand, uses programmable NFC keys that you can use instead of the fingerprint or PIN.

I was thinking to get these aqara NFC cards.

Is that means Aqara NFC cards wont work with u200 lite?

U200 Lite is a lock that can only be unlocked by the app or the automation.

It doesn’t have the capability to be unlocked by an NFC key, fingerprint or a code.

Even if you buy an Aqara NFC key, it can’t be used to unlock the U200 Lite.

Aqara U200 (notice: there is no “Lite”) has a keypad with NFC reader and fingerprint reader.

The Aqara NFC cards are supported only by the U200.

To sum up:

  • U200 Lite is just the lock module, no keypad, no NFC keys
  • U200 Lite has an NFC sticker (note: it’s not an NFC key) that functions as a shortcut to the unlock feature in the Aqara app. The sticker is scanned by your phone
  • Aqara has also a more expensive U200 that has a keypad and the ability to use NFC keys or fingerprint
  • NFC keys don’t require a phone to work. They are scanned by the U200 keypad

Ok but lite comes with NFC sticker.

Cheers

Yes, but the only purpose of the sticker is to open the Aqara app and unlock the door from the app. I’ve edited my previous response with more details
