Aqara W100 + Siri +Homeassistant + Samsung AC: a simple real-world example

Here’s a simple example of how I’m using the Aqara Climate Sensor W100 together with Apple Home, a HomePod mini, and a Samsung air conditioner.

In the video, I ask Siri for the temperature in the living room, which is measured by the Aqara Climate Sensor W100.

Voice commands:

Me: "Hey Siri, what’s the temperature in the living room?”

Siri: "The living room temperature is 27°C.”

Me: "Hey Siri, it’s too hot in the living room.”

Siri understands the context and turns on the air conditioner.

In this setup, Siri responds through a HomePod mini, the temperature comes from the Aqara W100, and the Samsung air conditioner is available in Apple Home via Home Assistant.

I love how devices from different ecosystems can work together in a natural way. I especially appreciate this on hot summer days. Being able to ask for the temperature and then naturally tell Siri that it’s too hot feels much more intuitive than opening apps and controlling devices manually.

How are you integrating Aqara devices into your smart home? I’d love to hear about your favorite setups, automations, or everyday use cases.

@FI_Arvi This is such a clever setup! :raised_hands: Integrating the Aqara W100 Climate Sensor with Apple Home via Home Assistant really shows the power of cross-ecosystem compatibility. The way Siri understands context (“it’s too hot”) and triggers the AC automatically is exactly the kind of intuitive interaction that makes smart homes feel truly smart.

It’s great to see Aqara devices working seamlessly with Apple Home, which is one of the supported platforms for Aqara products. Your real-world example demonstrates how sensor data can drive meaningful automations beyond simple on/off commands.

Thanks for sharing this with the community! Setups like yours inspire others to think creatively about their own integrations. I’d love to hear from other users too—what’s your favorite Aqara automation or cross-platform integration? Do you use Home Assistant, Apple Home, or another hub as your central control point?

Keep those creative ideas coming! :bulb:
