First let me start by saying I already have several Aqara devices running around my house and I am loving all of them…especially my exterior security cameras! They’re great!!!
I recently purchased the W200 to install and it’ll be replacing a Venstar color touch smart thermostat but I was looking to integrate with Apple Home more and Venstar’s API is not allowing me access through a homebridge setup I’m running hence the change…
This is currently how the Venstar is wired…my confusion lays with the jumper wire installed from W3/Aux - W2…I’m no HVAC savant so was wondering if this will work for the W200 and if so…how?

I don’t think the photo alone gives us enough information to know exactly how the system is configured. Is this a conventional furnace + A/C system or a heat pump? At first glance it looks like a heat pump, but the wiring is somewhat unusual.
A jumper is typically used when a single control signal needs to energize two thermostat terminals. In this case, it may be tying together multiple heating stages or functions, but it’s difficult to tell from the wiring alone.
One thing to keep in mind is that if your system has more than two stages of heating or cooling, the W200 may not support all of the equipment’s capabilities - it only supports 2 stage heating and cooling.
Could you share the HVAC/equipment configuration from the Venstar app or thermostat installer settings? From what I’ve read, Venstar can assign different functions to those terminals through its configuration, so the wiring labels don’t always tell the full story. Seeing those settings should make it much clearer how the system is actually set up and whether the W200 will be compatible.

Hi, connect R to R, C to C and G to G. Wire the white cable to W1, orange to O/B, yellow to Y. The black jumper wire is not needed.
Thank you I will give that a try! It’s a heat pump / AC unit by the way…this coming week on probably Wednesday or Thursday my new W200 will be going in! Wish me luck!
Got it. If you have an O/B wire, I can tell right away it’s a heat pump system.
