I am using matter integration to bring Aqara devices (particularly the W500) into home assistant, Currently not all the entities of the W500 are making it through, mainly the Power and Energy consumption data is missing. I have also tried integrating through Homekit with the same high level results. I believe that Matter has supported such data for over a year so wondered whether this was an error or is in development plans to make this visible?
You must connect a load and heat it up for the values to rise above zero.
Otherwise, the entities will not appear.
It has been working on a schedule for around a week and still no visible power or energy entities.
@hssmith Does it solve your issue?
Sorry, just realised emails from this forum were going to spam. Unfortunately this has not solved the issue, power and energy entities still missing.
Looking at the screen grabs, one difference is that mine is connected through the Hub M3 - it is that which was “Matter” discovered and as per your instructions I tried re-interviewing.
So your W500 works with Zigbee firmware using M3 as Matter bridge?
In this case, it is the implementation of the bridge that is the limiting factor.
This makes sense. Does anyone have the same setup and either can see power sensors or not. Out of interest, how is your connected to HA?
Mine is connected using the Thread protocol.
In your case, you should contact Aqara support to request a fix.
