Aqara Water Valve T1 - Mounting brackets

I have a main water line where the pipe and the ball valve are within the correct size, but the hardware is too large for the normal mounting bracket, and the hose clamp option is not strong enough. Has anyone found a supplier that has made a modification to use a normal bracket?

@rich_l_oliver It seems like you’re having some challenges with the mounting bracket for your Aqara Valve Controller T1 on your main water line. Based on the reference information, the mounting bracket provided is suitable for pipes up to a maximum DN20 size, and if there’s a large gap during installation, inserting a rubber gasket on the outer side of the pipe before securing it with the bracket is recommended. However, if the standard options aren’t suitable for your setup, exploring modifications or custom solutions might be necessary.

Unfortunately, our current resources don’t include specific suppliers for modified brackets. I recommend reaching out to the community for any DIY solutions or local suppliers who’ve tackled similar challenges. Your initiative in finding a solution could help others facing the same issue. Let’s keep the conversation going and see what innovative solutions the community might suggest!

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one having this problem. I have tried all the different mounting options that came with the kit, but I have still been unsuccessful. I find the torque keeps twisting the whole controller unit. I am either installing a new valve inline with my system that is compatible with the controller or trying to build my own mounting bracket.

I am doing the same. If I find an easy and workable solution I will share it.

Any luck? Now that we are regularly away from this house/valve, it’s giving me trouble. Seems to have a valve error, not fully open or closed. I’m sure it twisted and is now bound. I was looking at the bulldog and their bracket seems to be something that could be 3D printed, much more substantial than a hose clamp. I’m not great at designs but I can print. I’m looking on the typical 3D printing websites and can’t find anything yet, so I may be forced to either switch to another brand actuator or take my printer up to that house and custom design and print one.
