Four weeks with the Aqara U600 – a great addition to our home
After four weeks of using the Aqara U600, the whole family loves it. It arrived very well packaged, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, and installation and setup took no more than 10 minutes.
The biggest benefit is the convenience of unlocking the door without searching for keys. Even our six-year-old loves it—she now insists on being the one to unlock the door with her fingerprint every time we get home!
Being able to send a one-time code for when guests turn up early and we are joy is has also been really useful.
The automatic locking options based on proximity and time are another highlight, giving us peace of mind about accidentally leaving the door unlocked.
It looks sleek, suits the style of our house and matches our Aqara doorbell nicely.
If I’m really picking at straws, the only issue I’ve experienced has been using the fingerprint reader in the rain. Wet or dirty fingers can affect fingerprint sensors generally, so I wouldn’t consider this a problem unique to Aqara. On those occasions, I’ve simply used Apple Home Key instead.
Overall, it’s made getting in and out of the house easier for everyone. Four weeks in, we’re very happy with it.
@wilsoa45 Hi there! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your four-week experience with the Aqara U600. It’s always heartwarming to hear how smart home tech brings convenience and joy to families, especially when even the little ones (like your six-year-old!) get excited about using their fingerprints to unlock the door. That’s a great testimonial to the user-friendly design.
It’s also smart of you to have Apple Home Key as a backup for rainy days—wet fingers can indeed play tricks on any fingerprint sensor! The flexibility to switch between unlocking methods seamlessly is definitely one of the key strengths of modern smart locks.
We really appreciate you highlighting the ease of installation and the aesthetic match with your Aqara doorbell. Sharing these real-world insights helps other community members make informed decisions. If you have any more tips or discover other cool automations with your U600, we’d love to hear them!
Happy automating!
