Aquara Water Leak sensor

Hi!
I have problems with Aqara Water Leakage Sensor T1. I’ve been using it for a while, but then suddenly it stops reporting to Homey PRO Early 2023. I’m trying to add it again, which works fine, but it doesn’t report. When I press the “Drop” in the Homey APP, it shows 56 years. I’ve taken it to the store and they’ve tested it and everything is fine with it. I’ve also bought a new one that won’t work either. I need help with this.
I use these to detect when someone goes to bed and then turn off all the lights. I use a piezo electric film strip that I connect to the sensor.

@terje1 I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your Aqara Water Leak Sensor T1 not reporting to Homey PRO Early 2023. Let’s try some troubleshooting steps based on common connectivity issues for this sensor first:

Possible reasons for connectivity or reporting issues could include:

  1. Distance from the hub (Homey PRO in this case): If the sensor is too far from Homey, the signal might be weak. Try moving the sensor closer to Homey to see if reporting improves.
  2. Battery status: Low or depleted batteries can cause intermittent or no reporting. Even if the sensor is new, it’s worth checking/replacing the battery to rule this out.
  3. Installation surface: Avoid placing the sensor on metal surfaces, as metal can interfere with the signal.

This information comes from community discussions and user experience summaries and may vary by environment. Please verify carefully.

Since you mentioned the issue persists even with a new sensor and after re-adding it, and the “56 years” display in the Homey app isn’t a common symptom covered in standard FAQs, it would be best to reach out to customer support for more targeted assistance.
