Hi everyone, I recently installed the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K 2nd Gen, which is working beautifully in terms of performance and video quality. However, I’m facing an issue with the charging system. Previously, my Ring Video Doorbell 2 was using the existing doorbell wires to trickle charge, which worked perfectly. But with the Arlo doorbell, it seems the old wires aren’t charging it at all, leading to the battery draining much faster than expected.
I’ve tried checking the wiring and ensuring everything is properly connected, but the issue persists. The Arlo app doesn’t show any charging status, and the battery level drops significantly within a few days. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing or if others have encountered similar issues.
Has anyone successfully used their existing doorbell wiring to charge an Arlo doorbell? Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated! I’d love to avoid frequent battery changes and make the most out of this device.
