Many users are faced with the problem of re-adding Aqara devices to their home (I also had this problem) after removing it from the home via the APP.
Information for users, all Aqara gateways have the function “protection against accidental deletion” of child devices connected to the gateway. If this function is enabled, then deleting the device through a physical reset (10 clicks, 10 seconds of clamping or others) is impossible, a notification will come in the app “someone is trying to delete …”. This function works for newer devices, older versions of devices are not supported.
The essence of the problem is that when the user has deleted the device from the APP, then re-adding will be successful only after disabling the function that I described above.
Procedure.
- Disabled protection.
- Re-added the device.
- Enabled protection.
