As a busy parent juggling full-time work and family life, I’ve always been drawn to the idea of using technology to help streamline our daily routines. Our home is as automated as technology currently allows, from smart lighting to scheduled reminders. However, one challenge that’s been on my mind lately is how to encourage my child to brush their teeth regularly without constant reminders.
I’ve explored various ideas, such as using leak sensors in the bathroom or vibration sensors on the toothpaste tube. The thought of setting up an audio reminder every minute after a certain time or even cutting off WiFi access to their devices until they brush has crossed my mind. But I’m not sure if these solutions are practical or if they might end up being more of a hassle than a help.
I’ve also considered whether there’s a device or app that’s already out there that I’m simply unaware of. The community here is incredibly smart and resourceful, so I’m hoping someone might have a clever workaround or a product recommendation that I haven’t thought of yet.
This journey has been both frustrating and fascinating. It’s amazing how something as simple as brushing teeth can become such a tech puzzle! I’m excited to see what creative solutions the community can come up with. Let’s brainstorm together!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with a 3D-printed shoebox light, which has been a fun DIY project. It’s amazing how a small project like this can brighten up a space and bring a smile to my face. It’s these little victories that keep me motivated to keep exploring the world of smart home technology.
