After setting up my Hörmann Supramatic garage door with a Shelly Smart, I’ve been able to monitor its status in real-time. However, I wanted to take it a step further by receiving a notification when the garage door remains open after sunset. While I initially explored scene settings, I found the solution through Homey’s automation features. By combining the Shelly’s status updates with sunset times, I now get a timely reminder to close the garage door. It’s a small but incredibly convenient improvement!
