I’ve recently embarked on a project to automate my blinds using Home Assistant, and it’s been quite an adventure! Initially, I set up a scene to close the blinds in the evening, and it worked perfectly on its own. However, when I integrated it into an automation, things got a bit tricky. The blinds would start closing but then reverse after a few seconds, leaving me puzzled. After some research and trial and error, I discovered that adjusting the automation timing and adding delays resolved the issue. Now, my blinds close smoothly every evening, and I’ve even expanded the automation to handle different scenarios, like partially opening them during the day. This experience taught me the importance of patience and the joy of seeing a smart home project come together. It’s amazing how a little tweak can make such a big difference!
