I’ve always loved gardening, but maintaining consistent watering schedules was becoming a challenge, especially when I’m away from home. I decided to integrate a smart water pump with moisture sensors to monitor soil conditions. The setup has been working beautifully! Here’s how I did it: 1. Moisture Sensors: I placed wireless moisture sensors around the garden to track soil humidity levels in real time. 2. Smart Water Pump: Connected the pump to SmartThings, allowing it to activate automatically when the sensors detect low moisture. 3. Automation Rules: I set up rules to ensure the pump runs for specific durations and only during certain times to avoid disrupting my daily routine. This system has not only saved me time but also helped maintain healthier plants. The best part is being able to monitor everything from my phone, even when I’m on vacation.
