I’ve been trying for years to make it so that a home theater is safe for the people watching a movie and for those arriving late. I didn’t want people to have to turn on the light to destroy the mood if they had to come and go during the movie. So I used an Aqara presence sensor to detect motion towards or away from the seating area and lit the area using other Aqara products. Here is the video showing the entire process and the results.
