Hey, I’m coming back after installing the W600 radiator valves. I’m going through your lesson 14 because I now want to automate turning the gas boiler on and off, and I don’t really understand the configuration you discussed in that lesson.
Currently, my situation looks like this: I have 9 rooms. In each room there is a T1 temperature sensor and W600 radiator valves. The valves are set to read the temperature from the T1 sensor so they have a better idea of the actual room temperature. Up to this point, everything is clear.
Now I want to set up automation so that when the temperature drops below X, T2 turns on, and when it is above Y, it turns off. However, based on my thinking, I should be able to do this using two scenes — one to turn the boiler on and second to turn it off
4,5,6) — plus several automations where I check the temperature. In your lesson 14 there are some virtual buttons, many conditions, etc. Are you able to explain why you did it that way?
I’m sending how I have it set up. I’ll add that the boiler on T2 is connected to L1 and L2. L2 is always on, and when I want to turn it off manually, I will switch it over (emergency situation). On L1 I’m doing the automations(image
