Automation for geolocation of two users

I decided to write a separate topic on this issue. Many users face the problem of creating automation for two people in a house related to geolocation.
I got out of this problem like this. I have an unused old Aqara relay with two channels.
1.Automation made from my phone. IF I (husband) left the zone. THEN I turn on channel 1 of the Aqara relay.
2.Automation (made from my wife’s phone). IF my wife left the zone, THEN I turn on channel 2 of the Aqara relay.
3.Total automation for the lock. IF channel 1 and channel 2 are on, THEN I close the lock.
I once suggested to the guys from Aqara to make virtual triggers, maybe someday they will listen to me. This method of triggering intermediate relay status signals, I use for critical automations, which have the icon (°).
Advantages, I run a security alarm in the house. On such a basis, you can make automations from different ecosystems where switches are connected to two channels and they are seen by two systems. Your imagination can expand this method of control that I proposed.
The disadvantage is that the relay is not used for its intended purpose.

Thanks for sharing, very helpful.

Thanks for sharing, indeed a great way to geofence multiple users. Also I’m wondering if there are no idle devices for state determination, is it possible to use two useless automations and use its enable state to do the determination

Theoretically, such automation should work, I tested it at your request. See the names of the automations for understanding.
1.I made trigger automations (which never work). They can be made for the whole family respectively from each phone.

2.For each family member I launch Off trigger automations in case they leave the house.

  1. Automation that triggers security when there is no one at home.

You can do the automations for disarming when someone comes home yourself, just don’t forget to add an additional “On trigger” automation for the family member who has returned home.

Also, don’t forget that such automations are CLOUD and there should always be Internet control of the smart home.
