Automation to disarm Alarm seamlessly?

Hi everyone,

I recently got the Aqara U200 smart lock and paired it with a M3 Hub. I’m also setting up the alarm system within the Aqara Home app.

Although fingerprint unlocking works perfectly at the door, I can’t figure out how to use a fingerprint scan to automatically disable the alarm in the background. In the Automations, I only see the basic “Unlock” trigger—nothing like “Unlocked by [User]” or “Fingerprint unlock”.

Has anyone found a way to:

:closed_lock_with_key: Disable the alarm using a fingerprint?

:family_man_woman_girl_boy: Set up per-user disarm (e.g. close family members bypass alarm automatically)?

:hammer_and_wrench: Use a workaround or specific settings I may have missed?

I also use Apple Home—I’m able to disable the alarm by location for residents in the background, but not for guests.

I’m aiming for a smooth setup where family members can disable the alarm seamlessly. I also do have the Aqara Doorbell G4.

Would really appreciate any suggestions or tips from those who’ve achieved this smoothly. Thanks in advance!

I haven’t tried it but taking into account that you have the l doorbell, you can automate through the faces. In the aqara app, it lets you do an automation, where it allows you to play with the faces, whether they are known or not.

Yes, I have considered that. I’m just a little concerned about the security aspect of face recognition and would feel much more comfortable with fingerprint authentication…

I would think that setting this up in home assistant would be the best approach to get the automation setup

With fingerprint sensor I have not seen it, perhaps it would be an option that aqara engineers could consider to introduce in automations. On the other hand, if it were to open the door, maybe I would tell you not to do it, but if it is for the issue of deactivating the alarm… I don’t see it as a bad option. Anyway, you can create a notification, so that every time it is deactivated through facial recognition it warns you.

Ok I see what you mean, thanks for the input I didn’t consider it: So still use fingerprint to unlock and set up face recognition just to deactivate alarm.
I wish Aqara will allow in the future to deactivate alarm with fingerprint

Maybe you think about it when you read it here. Another option would be that every time the door is unlocked, the alarm is deactivated. At first, if someone hasn’t put the fingerprint, it shouldn’t be unlocked.

Yes I have it set up like that for now but I will try face recognition to deactivate alarm, thank you!
