Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience and ask for advice regarding battery level units in my setup. I’ve noticed that different manufacturers report battery levels in varying ranges—some from 0.0 to 1.0 and others from 0 to 100. This inconsistency has led to some confusion, especially when integrating devices from multiple brands into my smart home system.
Currently, I’ve configured all my sensors as Number:Dimensionless, but this approach causes some devices to display 10000% when fully charged, which is clearly not ideal. I’m curious to know what the community considers the best practice for handling such discrepancies. Should I normalize all values to a single range, or is there a smarter way to manage these differences within the system?
I’ve also heard that others might be facing similar challenges, especially with devices from brands like Maxxicharge, Anker Solix 2, and Zendure Solar Flow. It would be great to hear how others have tackled this issue and achieved a seamless integration across their setups.
Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Let’s collaborate to find the most efficient solution for maintaining consistency and usability in our smart home systems.
