Battery Life Maintenance Tips for Wyze Vacuum

I’ve been using the WRV200S Wyze Vacuum for over two years now, and I wanted to share some tips that have helped me maintain its performance and battery life. After a few months of use, I noticed that draining the battery below 50% seemed to affect its longevity. To address this, I set up a schedule where the vacuum cleans two rooms at a time and then returns to charge for 30 minutes before continuing. This routine has worked well for me, and the vacuum typically returns to the dock with a charge of around 60-65%.

Recently, I added another room to the cleaning schedule, and now the vacuum returns with a lower battery level, around 45%. While this is slightly less efficient, it’s still manageable. I’ve also found that cleaning the unit thoroughly is essential. Simply wiping the surfaces isn’t enough—using Q-tips or moistened wipes to clean the sensors and wheels has made a big difference.

For those dealing with carpets, I recommend purchasing a Metal Double Wall Switch Plate to place in front of the docking station. This helps the vacuum align properly for charging, which is especially useful on carpets. Additionally, I’ve been using a Portable Blower (CCV 5VDC Rechargeable) to remove any dust or moisture from the unit, filters, and Ladar sensor. This has kept everything running smoothly.

One thing I’ve been careful about is not updating the firmware or software, as I’m happy with the current performance. I hope these tips help others maintain their Wyze Vacuums as well! After three years, my two vacuum systems are still running perfectly with their original software and batteries—no issues at all! :star2:
